Summery California Airbnb Elopement on the Coast Dillon Beach, CA

It’s no secret that I really enjoy getting to know couples and LOVE learning more about their love stories. Each and every one is so unique and beautiful—I’m so lucky that I get to share in those personal experiences with couples. 

I absolutely loved getting to know more about Kasey + Jake and their 6-year friendship that sparked in college, turned into a long-distance relationship, until they eventually moved to Boston together and got engaged. When I first started talking to Kasey + Jake, I knew immediately that we were going to get along. They’re both super laid back, cute + casual, FUNNY, and outgoing. Kasey has two sisters—all of them married this year—and wanted to make sure that her special day reflected her personality. She wanted to keep their elopement casual + intimate—only 13 of their closest friends and family would be accompanying them at a gorgeous Airbnb along the coast at Dillion Beach in northern California. 

Kasey + Jake read their vows in the most beautiful backyard overlooking the Pacific with Kasey’s brother as the officiant. It was such a gorgeous moment, and despite the hazy fog that rolled in that afternoon, Kasey + Jake looked so unbelievably happy. There was a full catered dinner afterwards where their families made heartfelt toasts and shared in stories. Kasey’s dad had been planning his father-of-the-bride speech for a year (cue crying emoji). 

I followed Kasey + Jake down the road from their Airbnb to a cozy cypress tree tunnel to snap some pictures, and then moved alongside the coast to take in the last few moments of the beautiful sunset. Let’s talk about Kasey’s dress for a sec - her Jenny Yoo dress was modern yet timeless, romantic, and SO her. Kasey is such a beauty, and her dress/her overall look was sooooo effortlessly fresh and cool.

We made our way back to the Airbnb and took photos on the balcony and found a surprise—the neighbors were holding up signs saying to check the front door! There was a bottle of wine and snacks for Kasey + Jake (so cute) and Kasey + Jake decided to chug the entire bottle as a thank you (love that for you guys).
