Small + Intimate Denver Neighborhood Wedding

I was so happy when I first initially heard from Lyndsey last summer; their previously hired wedding photographer had backed out on them on short notice, and they were in a huge pickle, as their wedding was in a few months! I met with them as soon as I could, and assured them that a) they would be taken care of and b) we were gonna have an amazing time together on their wedding day. We clicked right away, and after hearing their incredible long-distance love story, and everything they had overcome to be together, I knew I was going to be a part of something really special.

Lyndsey + Kallie were married on a beautiful fall day in the Wash Park neighborhood of Denver. The day started with each of the girls getting ready separately at the cutest neighborhood little chapel, with friends + relatives who helped with all of their DIY details! It was crucial we kept doors closed and made sure the coast was clear in the hall if they had to pop out for something since they were both keeping their dresses a surprise to each other for their first look.

After their friends put all of the finishing touches on their hair + makeup, we met outside the chapel for a quiet moment + first look before the ceremony. They had a very modern + intimate ceremony—both their dads got to walk them down the aisle, and a family friend lead them in their ceremony.

After they said ‘I do’ we were on to the party at the Washington Park Boat House. Both ladies had mentioned to me that their main priority of the wedding was to just have a huge-ass dance party, and guys…it was just that. They could not wait for the tunes to start, and as soon as they did, I don’t think I saw the brides leave the dance floor! They decided not to have a traditional first dance, but rather a group family dance, and ended the night with a ‘always be my baby’ by Mariah Carey as their ‘last song’ that started a hugging line for them to go around and hug each and every guest before they headed off into forever.
